外教簡介
October 2014 - June 2016 - I worked as an IELTS, Business and Oral English teacher at the International College of the Hubei Normal University in Huanghsi, China. During this time I had been responsible for preparing the lessons and the examinations for every course, as well as for the marking. In order to make it more interesting for the students I had to introduce new games during every lesson. I was very keen to apply the learned vocabulary in ELT and ESL games with the students. 2010 – I had gained experience in the German tourism sector. I had worked as a Cathedral Guide at a cathedral in Germany. I was required to explain history and facts to customers including university students and academic staff, along with tourists, from around the world; in the languages of English and German. As a sales assistant at the Cathedral store, I was responsible for the management of the store. I was involved in Advertising and Marketing projects and events at the Cathedral. This experience enabled me to gain a cultural perspective to management. Skills gained included communication and problem solving. 2009 - I had worked as an assistant manager of a German supermarket. I was responsible for serving customers at the till. I also did check the products in the shelves. I had to manage the staff members within the supermarket and clean the supermarket as well. 2009 – 2011 – I had gained teaching experience as a private tutor in English and Business Studies. During this time I had taught University students in Business and Management studies as well as A –level students, who needed help to prepare their English classes and their Business and Management exams.
Sep 2011 – March 2014 University of Lincoln MBA (Master of Business Administration) Dissertation title: “A study of Managing Diversity based on case studies – the opportunities and challenges for overseas academics appointed to a UK University.” 2009 University of Lincoln 2:2 BA (Hons) in Management and Marketing “How has the way young people (age 18 – 25, “generation y”) communicate impacted on the development of marketing communications.”
