    南通航運(yùn)職業(yè)技術(shù)學(xué)院（以下簡稱“學(xué)院”）是一所經(jīng)江蘇省人民政府批準(zhǔn)設(shè)置的全日制普通高等學(xué)校，建校于1960年，隸屬江蘇省交通運(yùn)輸廳。學(xué)院座落于風(fēng)景秀麗的長三角地區(qū)最適宜人居的花園城市，著名的“體育之鄉(xiāng)”、“教育之鄉(xiāng)”、“建筑之鄉(xiāng)”、“長壽之鄉(xiāng)”——江蘇省南通市，位于蘇通長江大橋北翼。
    學(xué)院堅(jiān)持“立足交通、依托行業(yè)、發(fā)展特色、服務(wù)江蘇、輻射全國”的辦學(xué)定位，服務(wù)于“海洋強(qiáng)國”、“長三角”地區(qū)大港口、大物流等經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展戰(zhàn)略，主要圍繞水上運(yùn)輸產(chǎn)業(yè)鏈設(shè)置專業(yè)，形成了以造船、用船、管船、航道、港口、物流等于一體的水上運(yùn)輸專業(yè)鏈，為建設(shè)綜合交通運(yùn)輸體系尤其是水上交通運(yùn)輸行業(yè)輸送了大批高素質(zhì)的技術(shù)技能人才。在積極打造傳統(tǒng)優(yōu)勢專業(yè)的同時(shí)，學(xué)院緊密結(jié)合行業(yè)、地方經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展對人才的需求，近年來又開設(shè)了飛機(jī)機(jī)電設(shè)備維修、航空物流、城市軌道交通運(yùn)營管理、國際郵輪乘務(wù)管理、新能源汽車等與交通發(fā)展密切相關(guān)的新專業(yè)，形成了“以水上交通運(yùn)輸類專業(yè)為主體，陸上交通類專業(yè)和航空類專業(yè)為兩翼，各專業(yè)協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展”的專業(yè)布局，專業(yè)特色鮮明，在全國高職院校中獨(dú)樹一幟。
    學(xué)院校園占地面積近1000畝，校舍建筑面積達(dá)34萬多平方米。建有2個(gè)國家級職業(yè)教育實(shí)訓(xùn)基地、6個(gè)省級職業(yè)教育實(shí)訓(xùn)基地、3個(gè)南通市重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室；建有江蘇省船舶工程技術(shù)研究開發(fā)中心等省市級科技服務(wù)機(jī)構(gòu)13個(gè)；建有40多個(gè)校內(nèi)實(shí)訓(xùn)基地、200多個(gè)校外實(shí)習(xí)就業(yè)基地；與企業(yè)合作共建有“海瀾之舟”、“長陽門”、“長春門”3條生產(chǎn)性教學(xué)實(shí)習(xí)船。
    學(xué)院現(xiàn)有全日制普通教育學(xué)生近萬人，成人學(xué)歷教育學(xué)員2000多人，年短期職業(yè)培訓(xùn)規(guī)模達(dá)2萬人次以上，設(shè)有航海、輪機(jī)工程、船舶與海洋工程、交通工程、管理信息、機(jī)電、人文藝術(shù)等7個(gè)系49個(gè)專業(yè)；建有一大批國家重點(diǎn)專業(yè)、省級示范專業(yè)、特色專業(yè)和國家級精品課程、省級精品課程。學(xué)院按照ISO9001：2015質(zhì)量標(biāo)準(zhǔn)建有教育質(zhì)量管理體系，同時(shí)，培訓(xùn)質(zhì)量管理體系通過了挪威船級社的認(rèn)證審核。
    學(xué)院以“雙師素質(zhì)”建設(shè)為重點(diǎn)，以“校企互動(dòng)，雙向交流”為手段，以制度建設(shè)為保障，積極打造專兼結(jié)合的教學(xué)團(tuán)隊(duì)，建成了一支素質(zhì)優(yōu)良、結(jié)構(gòu)合理的高水平師資隊(duì)伍。目前，專任教師中正高職稱人員30人，高級職務(wù)人員比例達(dá)40%，具有碩士及以上學(xué)位人員比例達(dá)60%，專業(yè)教師“雙師”素質(zhì)比例超過90%。學(xué)院現(xiàn)有國務(wù)院特殊津貼獲得者3名，全國交通高職教育專業(yè)帶頭人7名，全國交通高職教育教學(xué)名師1名，江蘇省高等學(xué)校教學(xué)名師3名，江蘇省交通運(yùn)輸系統(tǒng)教學(xué)名師9名，南通市高校教學(xué)名師4名，江蘇省“333高層次人才培養(yǎng)工程”中青年科學(xué)技術(shù)帶頭人5名，江蘇省高校“青藍(lán)工程”中青年學(xué)術(shù)帶頭人5名，江蘇省交通系統(tǒng)“100人才工程”人選等其他各級各類優(yōu)秀人才30多名。擁有江蘇省優(yōu)秀教學(xué)團(tuán)隊(duì)2個(gè)，江蘇省科技創(chuàng)新團(tuán)隊(duì)2個(gè)。
   學(xué)院設(shè)有“國家職業(yè)技能鑒定所”、“教育部教育管理信息中心南通培訓(xùn)基地”、“中國海事服務(wù)中心南通培訓(xùn)基地”、“江蘇省航道技能人才教育培訓(xùn)基地”、“江蘇省海員培訓(xùn)中心”和“上海交通大學(xué)網(wǎng)絡(luò)學(xué)院南通遠(yuǎn)程學(xué)習(xí)中心”、 “中新（南通）國際海事培訓(xùn)中心”等培訓(xùn)機(jī)構(gòu)（基地）。
    學(xué)院在國內(nèi)高等職業(yè)院校中享有較高聲譽(yù)，具有較高的學(xué)術(shù)地位，是江蘇省航海學(xué)會(huì)常務(wù)副理事長單位，江蘇省鄭和研究會(huì)常務(wù)副理事長單位，“新絲路”航海職業(yè)教育集團(tuán)理事長單位，承擔(dān)學(xué)會(huì)及集團(tuán)的日常管理工作。
    學(xué)院廣泛開展國際學(xué)術(shù)交流和合作活動(dòng)，深入開展中外合作辦學(xué)項(xiàng)目，積極探索教育國際化的創(chuàng)新之路，引進(jìn)了國外優(yōu)質(zhì)的教學(xué)資源，是全球航海教育與培訓(xùn)聯(lián)合會(huì)會(huì)員單位，目前已和美國、加拿大、德國、英國、新加坡、印度、馬來西亞、澳大利亞等20多個(gè)國家和地區(qū)的30多所高校建立了良好的校際合作交流關(guān)系。
    學(xué)院積極實(shí)施“訂單式”、“現(xiàn)代學(xué)徒制”等人才培養(yǎng)模式，強(qiáng)化校企合作、產(chǎn)教融合，努力培養(yǎng)高素質(zhì)、技術(shù)技能型人才，積極服務(wù)于地方社會(huì)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展，畢業(yè)生就業(yè)率始終保持在98%以上，且就業(yè)質(zhì)量高、就業(yè)對口率高，連續(xù)四次被評為江蘇省高校畢業(yè)生就業(yè)工作先進(jìn)集體。

Nantong Shipping College

Nantong Shipping College（NTSC）is a vocational college engaged in higher education under the direct authority of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation. The college was established in 1960. It’s now situated in Nantong, a scenic city of Jiangsu Province in the Yangtze River Delta of China.

The College now has the capacity to educate over 10,000 full time students, over 2,000 further education students, as well as short-term vocational training for over 20,000 students each year. There are 7 academic departments: nautical; ship engine engineering; ship and ocean engineering; transportation engineering; management and information technology; mechanical and electrical engineering; Humanities and Arts, totally 49 specialties. It has a number of key national specialties, provincial model specialties, state-level quality courses and provincial quality courses. The college established its educational quality management system with the accordance of ISO9001: 2000 quality standard, while its training quality management system certified by DNV audit.

Among the college’s full-time teachers, 40% has the senior professional and technical positions, 60% has the master's degree or above, 93% of which hold dual-qualification. There are 2 teachers have been awarded the China State Council Special Government Allowance, 1 teacher has been awarded the Golden Anchor Award by National Committee of the Chinese Seamen and Construction Workers’ Union, 3 outstanding teachers have been awarded the Ministry of Transportation Wu Fu – Zhen Hua Traffic Education Award Fund. It also has 7 specialty leading persons of China national transport higher vocational education, nearly 20 high-level personnel of Jiangsu province "333 high-level personnel training object and Jiangsu provincial level famous college teaching masters, and 2 provincial level excellent teaching teams.

The College covers approximately 63 hectares with a construction area of over 340,000 ㎡ It has 2 national level vocational education training base, 3 provincial level vocational education training bases, 3 municipal level key laboratories, 13 provincial and municipal level technology service centers, includes the Jiangsu Ship Engineering Research and Development Center, Singapore (Nantong) International Maritime Institute etc.. The College has more than 40 campus training bases, more than 200 off-campus internships and employment bases, and cooperates with enterprises to build the "HAILAN Boat" and other 2 boats for teaching practice.

The college enjoys the high reputation in higher vocational institutions, and has 42 seafarers training qualification with international standards which are approved by Maritime Safety Administration of the People’s Republic of China (China MSA). It is the executive vice chairman unit of Jiangsu Provincial Institute of Nautical and Jiangsu Zheng He Research Society, responsible for their daily management.

The College emphasizes international exchange and cooperation and is a member of Global Maritime Education and Training Institution (GlobalMET). It has close relationships with 10 colleges and universities in 9 countries.

The college actively implements the "order talent training mode" and other training models, strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, and strive to train the high-quality skilled personnel, and actively service in the local social and economic development. The graduate employment rate of the college has been remaining above 98%.

Nantong Shipping College has been given the Outstanding College award by the Education Ministry of the PRC, based on the evaluation of its education level, and is listed as one of the first group demonstrative higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu province, the demonstrative college of transportation vocational education, the excellent national key higher vocational college, one of the top 50 excellent employment typical experience colleges and universities.
