南寧市第二中學(xué)是南寧市教育局直屬完全中學(xué)，中國百強(qiáng)中學(xué)，廣西自治區(qū)首批重點(diǎn)中學(xué)，自治區(qū)首批示范性普通高中。前身為創(chuàng)辦于1906年的南寧府中學(xué)堂，曾先后更名為廣西省立第一中學(xué)、南寧中學(xué)、南寧高中等。1954年改現(xiàn)名。南寧二中現(xiàn)有兩個(gè)校區(qū)：占地68畝的新民校區(qū)（初中部），占地453畝的鳳嶺校區(qū)（高中部）?，F(xiàn)有99個(gè)教學(xué)班，共有學(xué)生5663人。校園環(huán)境優(yōu)美，硬件設(shè)施一流。

在百年的辦學(xué)歷程中，南寧二中形成“以人的發(fā)展為本，師生員工與學(xué)校共同發(fā)展”的辦學(xué)理念，確定了“辦知名學(xué)校，造福一方；創(chuàng)優(yōu)質(zhì)教育，回報(bào)社會”的辦學(xué)宗旨，以“啟牖智慧，活潑身心”為校訓(xùn)，為國家輸送了數(shù)以萬計(jì)的優(yōu)秀畢業(yè)生。學(xué)校教育科研教學(xué)改革成績斐然，先后獲“全國師德建設(shè)先進(jìn)單位”、“全國心理輔導(dǎo)特色學(xué)?！?、“全國教育系統(tǒng)先進(jìn)集體”、“全國民族團(tuán)結(jié)進(jìn)步模范單位”、“全國群眾體育工作先進(jìn)單位”等榮譽(yù)稱號。

自恢復(fù)高考以來，我校培養(yǎng)了26位廣西高考總分狀元，68位廣西高考單科第一名。我校是廣西錄取北大清華人數(shù)最多的中學(xué)。我校連續(xù)17年蟬聯(lián)南寧市高考最高獎項(xiàng)——高中畢業(yè)班工作卓越獎，是南寧市唯一一所自從設(shè)獎以來所有年度均獲獎的中學(xué)。我校學(xué)子在各學(xué)科奧林匹克競賽中成績喜人，在“中國學(xué)科競賽500強(qiáng)高中頒獎盛典”中，我校榮獲了“全國最具影響力獎”、“全國最佳學(xué)校獎”、“全國卓越貢獻(xiàn)獎”和 “全國最佳校長獎”。黃天明、賴柯吉同學(xué)成為至今廣西中學(xué)生在國際學(xué)科奧賽中僅有的兩位金牌獲獎?wù)?。鐘海寧、劉見灼、劉彥琳同學(xué)實(shí)現(xiàn)了廣西中學(xué)生在物理、化學(xué)、生物該學(xué)科全國賽中一等獎零的突破。2014、2015年，2013級唐瓏珂以優(yōu)異成績榮獲第30屆和第31屆CMO(中國數(shù)學(xué)奧林匹克)一等獎，是廣西選手在中國數(shù)學(xué)奧林匹克中獲得的最高獎項(xiàng)。

Nanning No.2 High School is a complete middle school directly under the administration of Nanning Education Bureau, one of the top 100 middle schools in China, one of the first key middle schools and one of the first demonstration high schools approved by the government of Guangxi autonomous region. Nanning No. 2 High School was first known as Nanning School founded in 1906. It was renamed in history as follows, Guangxi Provincial No. 1 Middle School, Nanning Middle School, and Nanning High School, and finally received its present name in 1954. It consists of two campuses: Xinmin Campus (Junior High School) covering 68 acres and Fengling Campus (Senior High School) 453 acres. There are currently 99 classes and a total of 5,663 students. The campus has a beautiful environment and first-rate hardware facilities.

Having been run for 100 years, Nanning No. 2 High School formed the people-oriented developing idea that teachers and students develop together with the school, and set the school purpose of "Setting up a famous school in its region and constructing high-quality education to repay the society". With the motto of "inspire wisdom, invigorate mind and body", it has sent tens of thousands of outstanding graduates to all walks of life. The school educational and scientific researches and teaching reforms have achieved remarkable success. It won a variety of titles such as "National Ethics Construction Advanced School", "National Psychological Counseling Characteristic School", "National Education System Advanced Collective", "Model School for National Unity and Progress", "National Advanced School of Mass Sports Work" .

Since the resumption of college entrance examination, our school students have scored the first for 26 times for the overall score, and 68 times for single subject scores in Guangxi college entrance examination. Our school has the largest number of students enrolled by Peking University and Tsinghua University in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. For 17 consecutive years, our school has been awarded the highest award in the college entrance examination of Nanning city -- High School Graduation Work Excellence Award, which is the only middle school in Nanning city that has won all the awards in all years since the award was set up. Our students have performed well in the Olympic competitions of various disciplines. In the China Top 500 High School Awards Ceremony, our school won the "National Most Influential Award", "National Best School Award", "National Outstanding Contribution Award" and "National Best Principal Award". Huang Tianming and Lai Keji have become the only two gold winners of Guangxi middle school students in the international Olympic Discipline Competitions. Zhong Haining, Liu Jianzhuo, and Liu Yanlin achieved a breakthrough in the first prize of Guangxi middle school students in the national competitions of physics, chemistry, and biology. In 2014 and 2015, Tang Yan won the first prize of the 30th and 31st CMO (Chinese Mathematical Olympiad) with excellent results, which was the highest award won by Guangxi contestants in the Chinese Mathematical Olympiad.

There are 402 faculty members in the school, including 360 teachers, 1 professor, 4 professional senior teachers, 123 senior teachers, 20 in-service special teachers (excluding hired staff), and the number of special teachers ranks first in Guangxi middle schools. There are 4 experts who have the special allowance of the State Council, 2 Bagui outstanding teachers, 4 Guangxi outstanding experts, 14 Nanning professional and technical top talents, 18 Nanning outstanding young professional and technical personnel, 19 Nanning New Century academic and technical leaders, 11 stars of Nanning education system, 77 academic leaders and 211 teaching leaders. There are 16 tutors of Nanning "Gardener Project" in the 21st century (class B) , 5 national primary and middle school backbone teacher training objects and 27 Guangxi class A trained personnel. It is a modern, ecological and digital demonstration middle school, which is also top-ranking and well-known in the country and region.
