[I was recruited by UFEIC-Bilingo China International College in Beijing, for their Foundation Programs in various public schools in China. The students were placed into universities in North America. UFEIC-Bilingo China was founded in 2006 by UFEIC (University Foundation Education Instruction Center, North America) and the Beijing Foreign Studies University]. 

ESL Teacher Sept 2013 – Current

l Teaching Reading and the Speaking components of TOEFL to High School students for placement into the North American University System; mainly into Canada and the USA;

l Teaching Reading and Speaking components to Middle School Students in Grades 8 and 9 in preparation for their Foundation Programs, according to the syllabi and in keeping with the timetable;

l Introduced Phonics as part of classroom learning;

l Assigning appropriate homework, tests and written assignments and marking these promptly;

l Setting and assessing Oral Examinations for students;

l Providing appropriate feedback to students on their performance and in encouraging them on further progress;

l Maintaining and monitoring of students’ progress and providing feedback of these to the Dept Head and the Director of Teaching;

l Established Classroom Mentoring as part of the learning environment;

l Writing reviews and reports of Students’ Performances for the school’s management;

l Maintaining good rapport with parents, all other teachers, and employees on campus, as well as with the community.

l Reporting on economic trends and analysis of the country/region/state;

l Advising on reforms/incentives at both Federal and State level. For example, advised on the implementations of the Goods and Services Tax, Regional Economic Growth Programs and on Business Incentive Programs. Also advised on strategies and in their implementation for the growth and development of the region;

l Writing speeches and notes for forums and seminars;

l Undertaking correspondence such as letters and reports on behalf of the member;

l Conducting and analyzing researches on both economic and social issues; &

l Liaising and coordinating with the media, industry groups and members of the public.
