Job Description

?      Teach Year 9 – 11 students: I usually teach three classes of students and prepare them for IGCSE or ‘O’Level examination. Intervention programmes like extra classes are conducted to help the weaker students.

 

?      Mark students’ work: After teaching I usually give them exercises to test their understanding and mark them.

 

?      Set exam papers: Two tests and two examinations are conducted every year. Apart from preparing the test papers, I also collate them after printing.

 

?      As the School Maintenance Coordinator, I am responsible for the entire school’s electrical, plumbing and building maintenance. For example, I am repair or replace all faulty fans. I also repair or replace broken switches for all fluorescent lightings and air-conditioners. I also replace damaged taps and change cistern pumps.

 

?      School Chief Examiner for English language Year 9 Lower Secondary Oral Assessment .As Chief Examiner, I tested the students, gave marks and submit them to the Ministry of Education within a certain deadline.

I also prepare a detailed report on the performance of candidates.

 

?      Setter for year 8 Examination Papers 1 and 2 in Brunei. I prepare a set of questions and mark script for both papers within a given deadline.

 

?      Setter and Chief marker for English Paper 1 and Paper 2  Higher School Certificate of Education Examination for Year 13 Brunei Religious Schools. I prepare a set of questions for both papers conforming to the guidelines given within a certain deadline.
