Working as a part-time healthcare assistant, providing confidentiality and dignity to individual patients at all times, by assisting them with personal care, and providing them with a clean environment and emotional support. Learning about mental and physical health, providing emotional, social, and medical support to others. Being respectful of patient’s autonomy, rights, and both religious and cultural beliefs.

Volunteering as a telephone assessor at Ceredigion’s Citizens’ Advice Bureau, providing information and legal advice to clients, on how to overcome their sensitive and personal issues. Answering general enquiries, recognising when a client may not be claiming what they are entitled to, and referring them to a specialist if further support is needed. Keeping the client’s confidentiality, remaining empathetic and helping the client, in order to assist them with essential information.

2016-2017 – Ceredigion’s Citizens’ Advice Bureau, Aberystwyth

Worked as a part-time barmaid, interacting politely with customers, to maintain excellent customer service. Working in a team-based culture, to provide a fun and friendly environment for customers.

Volunteered at Aberystwyth’s Magistrates’ Court. Analysing and communicating independently in the courtroom, listening to cases, to provide the defendant with advice on how to overcome future convictions. Using legal knowledge, remaining empathetic and confidential, to communicate well with others, while talking about sensitive issues.
