Duties: Although books were provided I found these to be inadequate and mostly developed my own curriculum based around the most common problems that I had encountered with Chinese speakers as well as lessons relevant to their particular majors. 

After my first year, students were mostly Business English and business majors and my course was focussed on Speaking and Listening. Class sizes ranged from 25 – 50.

Additional duties included proofreading students work for university cultural exhibitions, judging speaking competitions, helping students writing English language assignments and participating in 'Foreign Culture Expo' which involved giving speeches about British Culture, creating original materials for an exhibit as well as preparing traditional food.

Duties: Mostly teaching one to one or less than 5 students with teenagers aged 14 - 18 very occasionally with young learners (10 - 13) and adults.  

Developed my own materials to suit the students, usually they were either going to study abroad and wanted to build fluency or prepare for the IELTS test, or aimed to improve their general English for school.

Students tended to have one class a week for several months so I was developing a 16 lesson curriculum based on life skills and conversation

Also during school terms I would be given 40 minute 'English Corner' lessons at middle schools around Hangzhou with around 20 students. Lessons would focus on pronunciation or using games to practice English

Duties: Coaching students in classes of 5 - 20 in preparation for the spoken section of the IELTS examination. The majority were teenagers and young adults aiming to go to university in Europe needing scores of 6 or 7.

As well as practice interviews, I developed lessons based around the IELTS marking system (Fluency, Pronunciation, Lexis, Grammar) to allow peer correction and coaching

Also included 'English Corner', a weekly informal 1hour 'free talk' lesson open to all levels

I had several students who were working in Holland and needed to get their English up to a professional standard. Mostly Business English such as writing emails, describing charts/figures etc although I tried to include fluency and pronunciation etc in the lessons as well.

Copywriting and proofreading was through an online agency mostly writing SEO text or introductions for websites.

Also delivering 'English Corner', developing my own 1 hour conversation lessons for larger groups between 10 - 30 students twice a week.
