Teaching Experience I have 8 years teaching experience o
In 2009-2010 I was a part time ESL Teacher at one of the most prestigious high schools in Beijing at Beijing Huiwen Middle School. I taught a class of 30-35, 16 year old students. The aim was to improve their oral skills so our topics included culture, drama, history, science and other interesting topics.
In 2008-2009 I taught ESL Communication and Oral Skills at Beijing Youth Politics College. I had a class of 20 students 10 times a week with 90 minute classes. We were focusing on improving their communication and British cultural skills.
In 2009 I taught at Yew Chung International School for one year where I mainly did tutoring for students in ESL, biology and chemistry. I had a class of 15 students also to teach ESL. These were mainly students of Chinese origin with problems of speaking English. I helped them with ESL, biology and chemistry.
My last teaching experience in China was a kindergarten, Oxford Baby Kindergarten. In 2008-2009 I was a part-time teacher here for one year. Every morning, Monday to Friday we had an ESL class for 45 minutes. After a short break we continued with either indoor or outdoor games and activities. We also prepared a “show” for the parents for mid-term and the end of the term.
