· Responsible for a class of children ages 6 to 12; prepared and taught English lessons and led group activities
· Helped run a traveler's motel and restaurant, as well as the BP Norseman truck stop in rural Western Australia
· Responsible for running the reception independent of management supervision, seating and serving patrons, making drinks, and providing customer service
· Taught kindergarten and elementary students ages 3 to 12 at a private English language institute run by YBM English Center for Children (ECC)
· Responsible for two homeroom kindergarten classes: wrote monthly progress reports, created syllabi, evaluated speeches, and gave presentations to the student body
· Organized and led bi-weekly English language conversation classes with a group of masters and doctoral students at Konkuk University in Seoul
· Responsible for picking discussion topics, helping students practice pronunciation, and improve their English language conversation abilities
· Seated customers, waited on tables, answered phone calls, and opened and closed the independently operated restaurant
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Canadian Parliamentary Internship Program Ottawa, Canada: May 2010–June 2010
· Helped contact constituents and edit speeches; attended meetings and conducted general office work while interning with a Canadian Member of Parliament
Study Abroad program at The University of Bonn Bonn, Germany: Sumer 2009
· Studied German language in Bonn, Germany for one month as part of the German minor program Quito, Ecuador: Winter 2009 Study Abroad program in Ecuador
· Lived with a local host family while studying the Spanish language and learning about Ecuadorian culture
Semester at Sea Study Abroad Program September - December 2008 · Sailed aboard the MV Explorer, traveling to 10 countries and taking classes accredited by the University of Virginia
Travel experience spans six continents, with extensive knowledge of and time spent in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
