?      Managed 5 classes a day, with up to 12 students that had ages ranging from high school to their late 50’s with a focus on oral language acquisition.

?      Goals and assignments would be checked daily and made assessments of students’ progress would be distributed at the end of the term.

?      Prepared and planned lessons every day for 5-6 classes for a wide variety of topics on culture, language acquisition, and resources on how to pursue a meaningful career path.

?      Generally the lesson were focused towards University students with a topic of interest that utilized new vocabulary and grammar, which was accompanied with a set of questions that were based on the reading and expressions to help mediate common sentences and usages in English.

?      Preparing English idioms, slang, and separate set of new vocabulary that students haven’t had before, to provide more opportunities for growth in their target language.

?      Administered daily exams, which are based on the vocabulary, syntax, and the present, past, past participle form of the words. The quantity of words learned is based on English ability. 

?      Administered assessment tests to determine the current level of the students and whether they’re struggling in certain classes.

?      Perform student analysis, assign essays, correct errors, and design remedial classes based on the student’s performance of the aforementioned essays. Prepared and wrote material that was distributed to the students, at the beginning of the semester, so that students could correct and try to comprehend some of their grammatical errors. 

?      Speaking entailed an extensive variety of comprehension checks, language practice with a partners and vocabulary practice.

?      With reading, I had a focus on recognition and the student’s ability to relate to the real-life applicability of the new vocabulary by writing handouts based on the current week’s topic. I would then design tasks and activities for students to partner-up and apply their newly acquired language abilities.

?      Listening is a standard testing class, to ensure that students are able to recognize and understand the contextual queues of their newly learn vocabulary. I would help further reinforce this by writing a handout relating to the unit and making sure to practice with them before the lesson starts.    

?      Conducted a special TOEFL/TOSEL class weekly based on comprehension level, to help prepare students for the test.

?      During the summer and winter vacations, special intensive classes were conducted and most of the tests for the semester were distributed.
