Penryn Preparatory School: Intern (2015 – Present)
I am the academic intern at Penryn for the senior prep (grades 4 to 7, ages 10 to 13). I have taken substitution classes across most subjects (English, Maths, Natural Science, Art, Afrikaans) whenever a teacher is absent and have been able to gain valuable experience through this. I am also maintain a fun environment in class, but in a way that encourages learning and participation. Set rules for classes as well as rewards for adherence and appropriate repercussions and remedies for non-adherence. I am the rhythm guitarist and bass guitarist, and band manager of Face Jackson. Face Jackson is a local band which operates in this area and is well known to local music lovers. I have also given numerous students guitar lessons both privately and group sessions to supplement my income.
