Summer 2010 to April 2012 Private Tutor
Tutored 4 different students for high school level maths, physics and chemistry exams on a one to one basis for a few hours a week. Students were thirteen/fourteen years old. Worked on areas of difficulty, tested them on areas they knew, explained and gave examples of new theory.
• Built rapport with students which allowed more effective learning.
• Often had to be creative in keeping students attention when it wavered towards the end of lesson.
• Organised and maintained long term schedule for students, to ensure upcoming exams and tests were sufficiently prepared for.
• Helped raise one student’s grade from 4 in his prelim exams to 3 in his final exams in two months.
