ESL teacher, The Learning Center (Zhenjiang, Jiangsu) 2012-2013 江蘇省鎮(zhèn)江某英語培訓中心英語教師 Worked as part of a dynamic group of young teachers while learning mandarin. Responsibilities included teaching private and group lessons, developing teaching materials and writing lesson plans. Created a new curriculum focused on teaching young learners in an active learning environment.
Interpreter, Garden Translations (Minneapolis, MN) 2011-2012 翻譯 Worked as an interpreter/translator in a legal as well as medical capacity. Became familiar with all aspects of formal and business writing while also assisting in casual writing and communication.
Full time Tutor, Chicago Youth Community Centre (Chicago, IL) 2009-2011 芝加哥全職英語教師 Assisted newly arrived students adapt to their new surroundings. Taught a series of local English classes in order to familiarize them with local slang and idioms. Also started and coached a youth basketball team for the centre, in order to get them better acclimated with their surroundings and other youth in the area.
