工作經(jīng)歷
Nigel was a part-time lecturer in the English department at Lampeter from 2004-2009. He taught Close Reading to first year students and part two classes on American authors including Hemmingway, Steinbeck, Faulkner, Ellison, Arthur Miller, Fitzgerald, Flannery O’ Connor, Thoreau, Cooper and Melville. Nigel also lectured on Paul Auster and Don DeLillo, and gave occasional lectures on postmodern theory for the Philosophy department. Besides this Nigel represented the department at Foundation Studies level, and at Summer University, and also held a number of other posts at Lampeter University (now part of the new Trinity St. David University). Nigel wrote his 72,000 word MPhil on Auster, DeLillo and international terrorism (accredited in 2007 following a first-class honours degree). He has written reviews and articles for New Welsh Review, Planet Magazine, Big Issue, Theatre Cymru, Journal of American Studies, Philip Roth Studies, Times Literary Supplement, Philip Roth Studies and Times Higher Education. Nigel presented of the paper ‘Men in Small Rooms: Art, Asceticism and Coercion in Paul Auster’s Fiction and Film’ to the Research Institute of Fiction and Film in 2007, and another related paper at the ‘Adapting the Nineteenth Century’ summer conference at Lampeter in 2008. 出過(guò)書(shū)。 教育經(jīng)歷
