During college I studied abroad twice; once in Concepcion, Chile and once in Shanghai, China. In Shanghai I studied at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE). These experiences were definitely the most memorable and exciting days of my life. Since I have returned to the United States, I have been searching for an opportunity to instill this same excitement and opportunity into others. I would love nothing more than being able to help students realize their potential and teach them English at a high level. I also am a perfect fit for this opportunity for the following reasons: I have two bachelor degrees: one in Finance and one in Spanish 3+ years of post graduate work Through study abroad and my professional experience, I interact very professionally Extremely strong organizational skills--these can be explained by what I do currently for my job I have a strong desire to live abroad again and specifically teach English I possess strong computer skills including intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Any of my coworkers would agree that I always convey a positive and friendly demeanor. I believe I am an ideal candidate because I have already lived in Shanghai, China for over 4 months. I am ready and willing to move abroad if I am offered this position. I do not currently possess a TEFL, but would be fully willing to obtain one online prior to coming to China. I prefer to work in either Shanghai, Hangzhou, or Suzhou. I am open to other teaching positions depending on the location and grade level. I strongly prefer to teach English at a University or High School, though I would consider other positions. Though I don't have an exceptional amount of teaching experience per se, I taught children in China part time while I lived there. I also conduct educational sessions on wine at the liquor store that I currently work at, so I feel it would be an easy transition into teaching English full time.
