January 2016 - Currently ESL Teacher. Kiddie English. Changshu China. Teach, plan, develop materials, and assess Reading/Writing, grammar, listening/speaking and spelling/speaking classes for lower level students. Manage classroom behavior through positive assertion of authority, including activities and motivational techniques.
November 2014 - December 2015 ESL Teacher. Mathisis English school. Chania Greece Conducted lessons encompassing a range of skill building activities in the four areas of language learning: Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening. Created and taught relevant English lessons focusing on building fluency. Assessed progress of students to ensure success of language program. Developed reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in students aged 10-18. Prepared students for exams and oral presentations in their English classes.
October 2013 - October 2014 Team member. Pret a manger. Aberdeen Scotland. Served customers across multiple shift times, including early morning rush hour and evening shifts. Promoted teamwork and a positive working environment. Interacted with customers ensuring the development of a good rapport. I undertook as many training/professional development courses on offer.
October 2011- September 2013 Secretarial assistant: Lafayette Storage & Moving Corp. Rochester New York Worked in the front of the store greeting customers and interacting with them, dealt with phone and email enquiries. Other duties included sorting and distributing incoming post and organising and sending outgoing post.
October 2015 Via Lingua International TEFL, Crete Greece A 120-hour certificate in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) with 10 observed hours and a grammar and phonology examination.
