Mentor, Catch 22 (National Citizen Service), Torquay, Devon (June 2017 – September 2017)
Duties Included: · Mentoring a group of fifteen young people. · Teaching core criteria and life skills to young people for their projects. · Partaking, overseeing and running activities at multiple PGL centres. · Overseeing and giving advice on young people’s projects to raise money for charities. · Undertook relevant training in First aid, safeguarding and information briefings on course. · Took registers and communicated with manager, parents and young people.
Summer Activity Leader, Education First Language Centre, Torquay, Devon (Summer 2015)
Duties included: · Assisting with Student arrivals and departures. · Delivering welcome briefings to students. · Ongoing promotion of activities and inspiring student participation. · Conducting daily meetings with students to communicate information regarding activity choices, meeting times and upcoming events. · Leading activities and excursions and overseeing events. · Taking register and liaising with parents, host families, students and staff. · Regularly undertaking training in first aid, safeguarding, information briefings and staff meetings. · Meeting with support leaders and mentoring and inspiring them to achieve their very best.
