February 2016 - Present English Language Arts teacher for Taizhou Number 1 Foreign Language School in Taizhou, JIangsu, China Taught English language arts to primary school students, teaching from a textbook with a variety of activities to encourage students to improve vocabulary and reading skills. Made lesson plans, graded papers, tested students, completed report cards, judged English competitions, and helped improve the English speaking ability of 1st graders. August 2014 - February 2016 ESL teacher for Meijia Foreign Language School in Wuhan, China Taught ESL to primary school students, teaching from a textbook and from songs and games. Made lesson plans, judged English competitions, and helped improve the English speaking ability of 1st and 2nd graders. I moved at the end of the year because the pollution in Wuhan consistently makes me sick. ESL teacher for Star English in Wuhan, China Teach ESL to 2nd and 3rd grade students, teaching from a textbook and using songs and games. Made lesson plans, helped students improve their oral and reading communication skills. October 2012 – August 2015 PESG with Washtenaw County School Districts Substitute teacher: I follow lesson plans given by instructors to ensure students from elementary to high school grade level learn the objectives in the absence of their teacher.
